My mother owns a smaller apartment (1 bedroom) which is located in Montemar which is between Benalmadena & Torremolinos (local beach is La Carihuela if you know the area).  There are 2 single beds in the bedroom & there is a small 'Z' bed which would take a small child.

In the photo above, the apartment is top right (by satellite dish).  You can just see the front of the balcony (which is one of the largest balconies in the development!)

It is not far from Malaga airport so a taxi transfer is very quick and easy (10 mins).  Local buses are very easy and cheap.  You are also not far from the train which runs along this part of the coast & to Malaga & also direct to the airport.

There are numerous bars, restaurants, shops, night-life etc all within easy walking distance of the apartment so a hire car is unnecessary.

The apartment is on the third floor (top) of a secure development (surrounded by fencing & locked gates).  The apartment is reached by a lift or stairs. 

There is a very large balcony which leads out from the large patio doors of the lounge.  The bedroom also has a door with direct access onto the balcony.  The south facing balcony is equipped with sun loungers and table and chairs.  There is also an awning which has recently been installed to shade the patio doors which lead into the lounge.  There is also a ceiling fan in the lounge to help keep the apartment cool.

There is a large swimming pool & communal gardens.

The kitchen has recently been totally refurbished to a high standard.

There is a washing machine.  All linen/towels/tea towels are supplied.  A changeover clean is done between lets.

There is a TV with DVD player & Skybox (basic Freeview UK programmes).  There is also a CD/radio cassette player.

I don't get involved in bookings for my mother's apartment as it is managed locally by an English couple (Sandra & John Southern). 

Weekly prices are as follows (prices include the £25 cost of the changeover clean & laundry.  If your booking is for longer than 1 week then the total rental cost will be cheaper):
